Frequently asked questions
Is Highlands Glen Academy accredited?
We are currently in the process of obtaining regional accreditation. While this process is underway, we operate as a fully registered private school, offering a standards-aligned curriculum taught by certified teachers. Students can still earn an official transcript and diploma, and we’re committed to full accreditation as soon as eligibility allows.
What does tuition cover?
Tuition includes all courses, teacher support, grading, digital materials and lab supplies.* Families may pay monthly or annually at a discounted rate. Supplemental tutoring and wellness sessions are available for an additional cost.
*International families may be responsible for sourcing their own materials for hands-on labs or activities.
What grades do you serve?
We offer a complete K–12 program with age-appropriate curriculum and support at every grade level.
Can students enroll any time?
Yes! We offer year-round enrollment, so your student can begin whenever you're ready.
Do students work on a schedule?
Our courses are asynchronous, meaning students can learn anytime, anywhere. Assignments have suggested pacing, but students may work ahead or take breaks between courses as needed.
Are parents responsible for teaching?
No. Our qualified teachers provide instruction, feedback, and support. Parents are welcome to supplement student learning, but it is not required.
Do you work with international students?
Yes, we accept international students. Our fully online program allows students around the world to access a quality education.
What does graduation look like if the school isn’t accredited yet?
Students who complete their coursework at Highlands Glen Academy will receive a transcript and diploma. While our regional accreditation is still in progress, families have the option to receive a fully accredited Category IV diploma through our partnership with Highlands Prep Academy. In addition, we offer dual enrollment and require standardized testing to support college and career readiness. These options ensure students are well-prepared and have access to a recognized diploma path.
